What's Not Included

Day 1
UK - St. Omer

Depart the UK this morning, before arriving into St Omer where you will have free time for lunch and a sampling of local beers. Then continue on to St. Quentin, where you will have the opportunity to see something of the Basilica and renowned fine arts museum.



Day 2

This morning, rejoin the coach for the short journey to Cambrai. You will begin the day with some free time to explore the city, celebrated for its cathedral, St-Géry Church. At lunchtime, board the Natalia and begin your southwards cruise to Masnières.


Day 3
Masnières - Honnecourt-sur-Escaut

Today, the coach will take you back to Masnières where you will re-board to continue towards the summit pound of the canal. Cruising all day, you will pass through 10 locks  before concluding for the day in the village of Honnecourt-sur-Escaut.

Day 4
Vendhuile - St Quentin

Leave the hotel early this morning and return to he boat at Vendhuile. From here enjoy some serene cruising before reaching Souterrain de Tronquoy. Conclude for the day by dropping down through 5 more locks into St Quentin.

Day 5
St Quentin - St-Simon

Re-board the boat this morning in St. Quentin and cruise along a tree-lined route, still with the River Somme into the village of St-Simon.

Day 6

On Easter Sunday the inland waterways in France are closed, and you will enjoy an easy day in the city with lunch out and some local beers.

Day 7
St-Simon - UK

For your last day, check out of your hotel after breakfast and return to St-Simon to continue cruising to the railway town of Tergnier.
