Day 1
Jacksonville, USA, Florida

Located in northern Florida is the city of Jacksonville – the state’s largest city. There are many places of interest within the city including the Jacksonville Museum of Science and History, which is known for its exhibits on the archaeology of Florida’s Native Americans. There is also a big scene in Jacksonville with regards to art, with a number of art museums and galleries dotted throughout the city. Other highlights in the city to visit include the nature parks, a sports complex which contains the Coliseum, Wolfson Park, and the Gator Bowl American Football stadium.

Fernandina Beach, FL, USA

Fernandina Beach is the perfect destination with historical highlights and sandy white beaches that span across the eastern coast. 

Day 3
Jekyll Island, USA, Georgia

Located on the coast of the state of Georgia is Jekyll Island which, up until the early 20th century, was owned by the Jekyll Island Club – made up of some of the most elite families in America. It was sold back to the state in 1947 and is renowned for its wealth of outdoor opportunities including golf and fishing off one of the many gorgeous beaches.

Day 4
St Simons Island, USA, Georgia

A visit to St Simons Island will allow you to appreciate unspoilt natural beauty at its finest. Located in Coastal Georgia, this island is home to beaches which have been voted as America’s favourite in recent years. Towards the northern tip of St Simons Island is a fort, which was built in 1736 in a bid to protect the Georgia border from Spanish invaders to the south.

Savannah, USA, Georgia

The historic riverside city of Savannah is considered to be the birthplace of Georgia. Its architecture was unaffected during times of conflict throughout the 19th century and, as a result, it offers a unique charm. This will become more apparent as you wander the streets of Savannah, particularly the cobbled River Street which is home to the sculpture of the Waving Girl.

Hilton Head Island, USA, N Carolina

Situated just across the border from Savannah, in Georgia, is Hilton Head Island. This 12-mile barrier island offers a beautiful setting, with many gorgeous beaches and lush green golf courses. From Harbour Town, you will be able to admire the multi-million dollar yachts as they sail in and out of the island to the Atlantic Ocean.

Beaufort (SC), USA, South Carolina

The South Carolina city of Beaufort is considered to be off the beaten track, but rewards discerning travellers with fabulous scenic beauty. It is a city of strategic importance, having played a part in many of America’s most significant historical events. Many homes dating back to the American Civil War remain in the city to this day.

Charleston (SC), USA, South Carolina

The seaport city of Charleston is situated in the state of South Carolina. It features a historic downtown, which is located on the peninsula formed by the Ashley and Cooper Rivers. Although Charleston was captured during the Civil War, many of the city’s buildings have remained standing for hundreds of years. There are many historic buildings worth visiting here including many historic town buildings and places of worship.

Wilmington, USA, N Carolina

The city of Wilmington is located in North Carolina and is famous for its collection of beaches and historic plantations. It is also home to a number of architectural wonders including Bellamy Manion, which was built in 1859 and is a fine example of the antebellum style. Wilmington is also home to the Airlie Gardens, which is made up of 67 acres of flora and freshwater lakes.
