Itinerary
1
Day 1
Kasane, Botswana

The Botswanan town of Kasane is situated close to Africa’s ‘Four Corners’, which is where the four countries of Botswana, Namibia, Zambia, and Zimbabwe almost meet. Kasane serves as the administrative centre of the Chobe District and is situated on the south bank of the Chobe River, which forms a border with Nambia’s Caprivi Strip. From Kasane, it is possible to embark safari journeys into the Chobe National Park and on boat trips along the Chobe River.

2
Day 2
Chobe National Park, Botswana

With one of the largest concentrations of game wildlife in Africa, the Chobe National Park is the ideal destination from which to see elephants, giraffe, buffalo, antelope, zebras, leopards and much more. Located in Botswana, this national park – which is the most diverse in Botswana – is accessible via the Chobe River. It can be divided into four areas, each of which is home to a distinctive ecosystem.

The Serondela area is also known as the Chobe Riverfront and is located in the extreme northeast of the national park. It is here that you are likely to see large breeding herds of elephants on the flood plains, along with families of giraffe, sable, and cape buffalo.

The Savuti Marsh area makes up the western stretch of the park and is home to extensive savannahs and rolling grasslands which host a dynamic range of wildlife. During the dry season, visitors may be gifted with sightings of warthogs, kudus, impalas, zebras, wildebeests, and elephants. If you are really lucky, you may even be able to see lions, hyenas, zebras and cheetahs.

Linyanti Marsh is located at the northwest corner of the park, in which the Kwando River and the Namibian border are located. Here, you are likely to see large concentrations of lions, leopards, wild dogs, Roan antelopes, Sable antelopes, hippos and elephants. On rare occasions, it is also possible to see red lchwe, sitatunga, and crocodile in the area.

Located between Linyanti and the Savuti Marshes is the hot and dry hinterland, which is occupied by the Nogatsaa grass woodland and is a great location from which to spot elands.

3
Day 3
Kasenu Village, Botswana

A visit to the tiny Botswanan settlement of Kasenu Village will provide an invaluable insight into the day-to-day lives of local residents. Residents of the village rely on traditional fishing methods and livestock farming for income. You will be invited into the homes of local residents and get a glimpse of a lifestyle that has not changed for thousands of years.
