Sometimes you want to dig a little deeper. Pandaw offer a series of onboard multimedia talks to shed light on the history and culture of the places you visit. These presentations provide a context for your own observations, enhancing your travel experience.

Hands-on demonstrations, cooking classes, traditional dance performances, and local tastings. These in-depth experiences are included as an essential part of discovering more about the places through which you cruise, and each activity is planned specifically to illuminate each itinerary.

As with your stateroom, the public areas are designed to make the most of the splendid views. A river cruise provides uninterrupted sightseeing, from the time the morning mist rises from the water to when the setting sun announces the end to another remarkable day.

Evening Entertainment

During your cruise there will be a series of cultural performances, educational talks, cooking classes, and ship tour.

There will also be the options of theme dinners.

Health and Fitness

Please note: There are no designated health/fitness facilities on board.

Please note: the ship does not offer or feature any children's facilities.

Disabled Facilities

Pandaw Cruises welcomes disabled guests but wishes all guests to understand that challenges will exist onboard and during shore excursions. The ocean vessels have elevators, but there may still be thresholds that could make movement difficult. Shore excursions may require movement over cobblestones or up and down stairs; accordingly, a physically challenged guest will require the services of a responsible adult since crew availability is limited. Guests need to provide their own wheelchairs, except in an emergency. Motorised scooters are not typically suited on international cruises and cannot be accommodated. Viking does not accommodate animals except for certified therapy or Seeing Eye dogs on our international itineraries.

When you make your reservation, please let them know of any disability that will require special attention while you are on your cruise.

Dietary Requirements

In most cases Pandaw can accommodate special dietary needs. Every meal has vegetarian options and chefs will make reasonable efforts to accommodate requests. Guests requiring special diets (low salt, diabetic, gluten-free and low cholesterol) should alert Pandaw 90 days prior to departure and remind the Maître d’ when onboard.

Age Restrictions

Due to the nature of the cruises, Pandaw do not maintain specific facilities or services for children aboard cruise vessels. On all cruises children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by and share a cabin with a parent, legal guardian or other responsible adult over the age of 21. Pandaw are unable to accommodate children under the age of 12 and reserve the right to limit the number of children onboard any particular vessel between the ages of 12 and 18.

Dress Code

Dress is casual and comfortable, both on board and ashore. Because the weather can be unpredictable, it is best to bring layers—have a sweater or light jacket for spring and summer, and a heavier jacket for chillier months. Rain can happen at any time, so a collapsible umbrella is a “must.” You are likely to do a good deal of walking during shore excursions, so you will definitely want sturdy, comfortable walking shoes; but, since ships are much smaller than ocean cruising vessels, you do not have to worry about too much walking on board.

There are no “formal nights” on board, but there is usually a Captain’s Welcome Dinner and/or Farewell Dinner; on many itineraries, you will attend a concert, ballet performance or other dressier event. For these evenings, you might like to bring “dressy casual” wear.
