Amadeus Silver II, launched in 2015, is the sister of Amadeus Silver. She sails throughout Europe, on the Rhine and Danube rivers, and has the capacity to hold up to 168 guests. At 135 metres long, there is sure to be plenty of space across her decks, but Amadeus River Cruises have extended this further by reducing the amount of cabins on the ship. With just 84, instead of 90, guests are afforded more floor space in their stateroom, including the en-suite facilities, as well as in the public areas.
Staterooms on the Mozart and Strauss decks are equipped with stylish French balconies where the top part of the window drops down to let the outside in. However, if you choose one of the 12 Amadeus suites, you can enjoy a full outdoor seating area.
Popular spaces such as Café Vienna and the River Terrace, which are also found on Amadeus Silver II’s sister ship, are perfect for relaxing and enjoying the passing scenery, whilst delicious regional fare is served in the beautiful Panorama restaurant. The Sun Deck features plenty of outdoor seating and a bar, as well as the chance to challenge your fellow guests to a game of oversized chess.
In common with international customs, it is normal to tip staff. The amount you tip is left to your discretion and should be seen as a reward for good service. If you would like a recommendation, Amadeus suggest between €5-7 per guest per day.
